JOIN THE STAG ROAR COMMUNITY
MentalHunts Hunting adventures with a difference. Glen Thurston & Sam Manson are working to break down mental health barriers within the hunting community. MentalHunts is geared towards providing education and support for firearms license holders, farmers, hunters, hunting guides, and individuals who require firearms for their occupations. Presently, there exists a significant barrier for individuals in these communities to seek mental health assistance due to the fear of revocation of their firearms license.
This issue hits close to home for Glen, as he personally experienced the revocation of his firearms license on October 2019, simply for seeking help during a challenging period. Alongside the mental health chat, Sam will be offering many hunting tips for those new to the sport, pulling from his experience as a hunting guide for more than 10 years. We want to encourage people to not only speak up if they are struggling but also get into nature to reap all the benefits it has to offer
